Passenger Equipment
By the 1980's, passenger service in the Winona area was reduced to two trains per day in each direction. These trains were dominated by EMD F40PH Locomotives and Superliner cars painted in the Phase 3 paint scheme. American Models produced locomotives, box cars and passenger cars for Amtrak in multiple phases. I do have 3 of the box cars as pictured below as listed on my Plug Door Box Cars page.
Operating Plan
The plan is to have one train each way on the Milwaukee Road main line, with a stop at the station. Each train will consist of a single F40-PH, two express cars, a Coach Baggage, two Coach cars, a Lounge/Cafe car and two Sleeper cars per train. Each train will exchange one express car at the adjacent freight depot while waiting for passengers to load.
